So how did Philips Norelco 9300. S9311/87 fared in our review? Let’s find out.

By the looks of it the model 9300 has a very sleek and modern look. It’s not a bulky shaver to hold and fits right into your hand nicely. The build quality is very good as you can expect from a high end shaver by Philips. The body is made from high quality plastic and it has a nice compact manufactured body. The rotary head design has three blades on top which have many functions as we will discuss them in features review.
The model 9300 is no short on features, first of all it has wet & dry technology which means you can use it while taking shower, with a shaving gel or foam or just use it on dry skin. The contour adjusting head move on your skin as it was designed to be there on that spot and blades moving in eight different directions so you get the closest shave possible. The three settings on board the model 9300 we found quiet interesting. The settings allowed for different types of shave you can have. If you have sensitive skin you can choose the gentle shave settings and it will produce just as good shave as the other settings but with a soft touch.
The charge time on the model 9300 is 50 minutes for a full charge and the quick charge option on this shaver allows for 5 minutes shaving time in 5 minutes charge which is enough for a single shave. The digital LED is also there for up to date stats of the shaver. The cleaning dock with this electric shaver is very useful as it cleans, lubricates and charges the electric shaver all by itself.
Now on to the most important part of the review, how did it perform? In terms of the shaving performance you cannot ask for a better electric shaver if you are Philips user for years. If you want to upgrade your shaver or you want to buy your first electric shaver the model 9300 is your best bet. The shave from this shaver is very thorough and the settings option gives different skin types a go with this electric shaver. The only thing wrong with this shaver is the cleaning dock it’s pretty much useless. You have to clean the shaver yourself as the dock doesn’t clean it as it should be cleaned and the whole cleaning, lubrication, drying and charging process takes 4 hours which is a lot.
Conclusion
All in all ignoring the cleaning dock glitch the shaving performance of this shaver is 10/10 and just because the cleaning dock is a part of this product the overall performance is affected by this. So shaver is very good one of the best the shave you get is one of the thorough ones. Overall the model 9300 gets 9 out of 10 from us.

The design of this electric shaver is based on the Star Wars Foe theme and to be honest it looks amazing to hold such a distinctive shaver while shaving. This shaver is not among the slimmest of the electric shavers out there but it is just perfect to hold not too bulky nor too slim. It has a plastic feel when you hold it and that can be it’s negative points that can be held against it. The LED display integrates into the color scheme perfectly such so that the animation during the powering it on feels like you are holding a light sabre. Pretty cool. Right? And it comes with it’s own matching travel case.
The features of this shaver are no short of high end with not a big price tag. Let’s start with blades. The blades of this shaver move in 8 directions which leave no hair untouched and uncut. It has a Hyper Drive or Turbo + mode which speeds up the motors and blades to speed up your shaving. It has wet & dry technology which we all know is best if you use shaving gel or foam to shave. The blades are self sharpening as well. It also has a pop up precision trimmer which is very helpful for the sideburns and the hairs on little tricky places.
Let’s talk about the battery, the battery in our review charged within the hour and provided 60 minutes of shaving time. Which is enough for 15 to 20 shaves. The quick charge function lets you have 5 minutes of shaving time with 5 minutes of charge time which is very useful if you are in a hurry.
The performance of this electric shaver is right where it should be it’s not high end performance nor it is down low. For high end performance models check the Braun 9 Series. There are some hair pulls by this shaver when you push too hard while shaving but not too constant but if you are careful and don’t apply too much pressure you will get smooth and painless shave. With continuous usage of about 2 shaves, which worked for us, you will adapt to this electric shaver and will love it. The head pulls apart nice and smooth for cleaning, you just have to rinse it with water and you are good to go.
Conclusion
The Philips Norelco SW6700/91 Star Wars Poe electric shaver is not a bad shaver at all it fared well in our review and you can expect everything from the price tag it is offered on. We give it 7.5 out of 10.
